| • | Play for the fun of it. |
| • | Compete by the rules and abide the referees' decision. |
| • | Control your temper. Make no criticism by word or gesture. Do not use unacceptable language. |
| • | Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team's performance will benefit as will your own. |
| • | Be willing to train and prepare for the game, preparation helps prevent injury and increases the level of enjoyment. |
| • | Play when you are fully fit. To play with an injury will handicap your team, and expose you to the risk of serious life-long injury. |
| • | Be a good sport. Encourage fellow team members. |
| • | At all times co-operate with your Coach, other team officials, Club officials, team mates and opponents - without them you do not have a competition. |
| • | Remember the goals of the game are to have fun and improve your skills. Be modest in success and generous in defeat. |
| • | Remember that children play organised sport for fun. They are not playing for the entertainment of others, nor are they miniature professionals. Encourage fun for players and parents. |
| • | Never reject a player who shows an interest in the game. Encourage them to participate and assist them to develop. |
| • | Encourage all players to enjoy their game through participation, teamwork and sportsmanship and work to assist each player to progress to achieve their individual and collective best. |
| • | Give all players a fair go. Organise rosters to assist in ensuring each player can participate equally both in playing time and in time off the field. |
| • | Applaud good performances and efforts from your team and equally those of your opponents. Congratulate all participants upon their performance regardless of the game's outcome. |
| • | Respect the decisions of officials. If there is a disagreement, follow the appropriate procedure in order to question the decision and teach the children to do likewise. Do not question the judgement and honesty of an official in public. |
| • | Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake during a competition, either publicly or in private. Positive comments are motivational. Personal constructive comment gains respect. |
| • | Condemn the use of violence in any form by players and condemn its use by spectators, coaches, and officials. |
| • | Show and teach respect for your team's opponents. Without them there would be no game. |
| • | Teach players to follow the rules and the official decisions. |
| • | Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour by not using foul language, nor harassing players, coaches or officials. Avoid use of derogatory language based on gender or race. |
| • | Be understanding & cooperative regarding the use of club and ground facilities. |
