Coach and Team Manager Registration (OLD)

Coaches and team managers at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club are all volunteers, typically an interested parent, relative or other interested community member.  Advice and assistance is always available to coaches and team managers from the Club Committee and the Club's coaching coordinators. No experience is necessary but a ‘Give it a Go” attitude means everyone has fun.  The process for coach and team manager registration at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club in 2023 is dependent upon whether you are taking on this role for the first-time or are a returning coach or team manager.

In accordance with Football NSW Regulations, Abbotsford Juniors Football Club requires that ALL coaches and team managers of Junior and Youth teams (up to Women's Intermediate League and Male Intermediate League age groups) must complete and obtain a current clearance through the Working with Children Check process. No cost is involved but a passport style photo is required to complete registration.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  -  Registration for the 2023 Winter Season with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (and all other Clubs in the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association) will be completed in the Dribl Registration website and NOT in Play Football.
  -  New to football coaches and managers in 2023 do not need to register with Football Federation Australia to obtain a FFA number UNLESS they are seeking accreditation for Coach training courses completed with the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association
  -  Existing coaches and managers returning from 2022 need to know their Dribl registration account email and password.

New Coach or Manager Registration Process
Step 1 - Obtain or Validate your Working with Children clearance (if you do not have one)
This is a simple process via an online form and also requires a visit to a Service NSW centre or motor registery.  Details of the process can be found on the NSW Government Office of the Childrens Guardian website at Working with Children Check.

Step 2 - If required, create a Dribl Registration Account (registration.dribl.com)
For new coaches or managers who have not registered with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club or the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association last year, click Login (top right hand side of the screen) and select the Create Account button to setup your new account.

Step 3 - Navigate to the Dribl Registration system and follow the steps detailed in our
Dribl Registration Guide
You can manage and request multiple coach and manager (and player) registrations from a single Dribl Registration Account.  For example, a parent who coaches can register themselves and their 2 children who play from a single account and email address.

What happens next?
Your registration will be reviewed and processed by the Club.  All prospective coaches at Abbotsford Juniors Football Club must register with the Club. Registrations that have not completed a Working with Children Check will not be progressed and approved by the Club, until such time as this information is completed and validated.

Prior to the season commencing, Abbotsford Juniors Football Club holds a Coaches and Team Managers' Forum (usually held in March) of each calendar year.  The date and time of this session will be posted on our website, Facebook page and emailed directly to registered coaches and team managers.

Also during the year, the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association (CDSFA) and Abbotsford Juniors Football Club run a number of coaching courses and development sessions.  These include accredited Football NSW coaching courses. The Club funds attendance at these training courses and strongly encourages all its coaches, whether parents or other interested community members to take advantage of this opportunity.
